Steve Dichter brings over 25 years of experience in improving the performance of large, complex institutions. His career has spanned working as a senior executive, entrepreneur, consultant and author/speaker in both the private and public sectors.

Currently Steve serves as a CEO, investor, and consultant, with a focus on people-intensive service businesses. Steve is interim CEO of the Armed Response Team in Albuquerque, NM, an innovative security company serving both commercial and residential markets. He is also a Director of TruePoint Partners, a research-based consulting firm specializing in creating high performing organizations.

He has also served as Deputy Cabinet Secretary for Taxation and Revenue for the State of New Mexico, President of M2 Automotive, a leading consolidator in the auto collision repair business, and as a Managing Director of Security Capital Group, a global real estate investment and management company. Steve was also a senior partner with McKinsey & Company where he was a leader of their worldwide organization performance practice.

Steve is a co-author of Real Change Leaders (Random House, 1996; Business Week Best Seller, 1996) and speaks frequently on issues of organization performance and change.

He serves on the board and as treasurer of Homewise, a Santa Fe-based developer of affordable housing. He is a trustee of United World College-USA and the former Chairman of Young Citizens, an organization that works to integrate community service projects into middle school curriculum. He is also a former trustee of the New York City Police Foundation.

Steve received his MBA from Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration (1979) and his BA in history from Swarthmore College (1975).
